QUALIFICATIONS:
Current MN Licensure in Special Education for DCD preferred
Current MN Licensure in Special Education for any other field will be considered
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties of this job include, but are not limited to:
• Work with a variety of students within any disability area
• Must have good written and verbal communication skills
• Must be able to create thorough lesson plans and implement them effectively
• Must be able to do assessments for purposes of determining special education eligibility
• Must have good data collection expertise and the ability to monitor student progress
• Must be a good collaborator and team player
• Must be able to work with and supervise paraprofessionals

Job Summary: Hinckley Elementary School is looking for an ECSE teacher for the 2025-26 school year. This is a 1.0 FTE position. Job Description
Develops and administers Math curriculum consistent with school district goals and objectives.
Promotes a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to student learning.
Conducts ongoing assessment of student learning and progress, and modifies instructional methods to fit individual student’s needs, including students with special needs.
Organizes and maintains a system for accurate and complete record-keeping, grading, and reporting for all student activities, achievement and attendance as required by the district.
Establishes and maintains standards of student behavior needed to achieve a functional learning atmosphere in the classroom.
Coordinates with other professional staff members and participates in PLCs and other monthly meetings.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Develops lesson plans and instructional materials to teach 7th and 8th grade Theater Class.
Translates lesson plans into developmentally appropriate learning experiences.
Communicates regularly with parents via Schoology, newsletters, phone calls, e-mails, conferences, etc.
Works in a supportive and collaborative manner with colleagues and supervisors.
Participating in building and department meetings and workshops in an effort to stay current with best teaching practices.
Participates in a professional learning community on a regular basis.

Support Staff Positions
Hinckley-Finlayson High School and the Pine County Transition Program are looking for paraprofessionals for this program for the 2024-25 school year.
This position will work with students in our special education transition program with our 18 – 22 year old students. This position supervises students in the community at volunteer worksites as well as provides academic support in the classroom. This position is 5.5 hours/day from 8:00 am – 2:00 pm Monday through Friday. The starting salary for this position is $17.98 an hour.
Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Principal and guidance of the Special Education Teacher, the Special Education Paraprofessional represents a broad grouping of varied positions providing instructional support, personal care and assistance to young adults in various programs and having varied special needs.
Paras assigned to the Pine County Transition Program are expected to work with groups of students or 1:1 in the areas of instructional reinforcement and student learning assistance. Depending upon student needs, responsibilities and duties may involve assisting and guiding students in the reinforcement of transition skill subjects, daily living skills, implementing behavioral plans and/or monitoring and enforcing appropriate behavior in accordance with instructional lesson plans and student IEPs. Staff assigned to this role also provide assistance and support in terms of implementing curriculum to the special needs of each student by clearly repeating directions at the level the student understands, encouraging cooperation in classroom activities, communicating expectations, and modifying tasks into smaller steps, and assisting students with mobility, adaptive, or other special needs. Lifting and assisting with personal care routines may also be required.

The ParaPro test can be taken here and ISD2165 will reimburse for this testing fee after a 90 day probationary period. Hinckley-Finlayson High School is looking for a Cook’s Assistant for the 2024-25 school year. This position is Monday through Friday, at 3.75 hours per day. This position starts at 9:30 a.m. Job duties include, but are not limited to: cooking, baking, preparing lunches for HFHS students and staff. This position also serves these meals. The candidate for this position will be assisting the cook with executing meal service. Some job duties will need to be executed to the dishwasher as needed. A ServSafe Certification, which is a safe food handling certificate, is required within 90 days of the hiring date. Starting salary is $17.36/hour. Posting open until March 7, 2025. Hinckley Elementary School is seeking a para-professional for the 2024-25 school year. The applicant hired for this position will work with students who have academic or behavioral needs. Candidates should have strong communication skills, be willing to work collaboratively within a team and be able to think on their toes. Required qualifications include a 2-year college degree OR the ability to successfully pass the ParaPro Assessment. Experience working with young children and/or with students who have some needs is preferred. The starting wage would be $17.98 an hour,with the potential to go up from there, depending on school experience. The hours for the positions are 6.25 hours a day (Wednesday is 5.25 hours) and the position is needed 5 days a week. Posting open until February 24, 2025.
