Superintendent Updates!

Happy New Year!

I hope everyone had a great Holiday season.  It was great to see the students and staff back for the two days that we had school this past week.

As we head into January we are coming up on the semester change.  At the end of the month, High School students could have new schedules and classes.  At the Elementary, classes will continue as they have.  There will be no school for students on January 17th and January 20th.

The District is looking to revamp our Communication/ Retention Committee and we would like more community input on this team.  We are looking for a few community members who would like to be a part of this committee.  The committee meets about 4 times a year (could be more based on need).  We are looking to schedule our next meeting for the end of January or early February.  If you are interested in being a part of this committee, or if you are interested in learning more about this committee, please reach out to Brian Masterson in the District office.

So far we have had a very nice winter.  Please remember to dress your students for the weather as it is getting much colder outside.  If or when we have extreme cold, or when we have a lot of snow, the District will either communicate school delays/ closings by 9pm (when possible).  From time to time we need to make the decision in the morning, in these cases, we will communicate by 5am.  At this point, we have not yet had to use any of our make up days.  If we do have extreme weather, we would start with having a traditional snow day (no school).  We would only move to e-learning days if we end up canceling more than 3 days of school.

I hope everyone is doing well and, as always, if there are any questions or concerns, please reach out at any time.

Go Jags!
